These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Invoice Capture service ("Service") provided by LoveATree ("we", "our", "us") through loveatree.com. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service enables users to upload or capture photographs of invoices using a web browser or compatible device. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and other automated processing technologies are used to extract invoice information for the user's convenience.
The Service is intended to assist with data capture and does not guarantee complete or error-free extraction.
You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement on behalf of an organisation.
You are responsible for:
•.Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
•.All activities conducted under your account.
•.Providing accurate registration information.
You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
The Invoice Capture Service is provided on a paid subscription or usage basis.
Fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to pay applicable fees may result in suspension or termination of the Service.
Prices may be amended upon reasonable notice.
You agree not to:
•.Upload malicious software or harmful content.
•.Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
•.Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
•.Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
•.Upload invoices or documents that you are not authorised to process.
You retain ownership of all invoices, images, and information you upload.
You grant LoveATree a limited licence to process your uploaded data solely for:
•.Performing OCR.
•.Providing the requested Service.
•.Maintaining system security.
•.Backups required for operational continuity.
We do not claim ownership of your uploaded documents.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Invoice images may be temporarily stored while processing is performed.
Where third-party OCR providers are used, invoice data may be securely transmitted to those providers solely for processing purposes.
OCR technology is not perfect.
You acknowledge that:
•.Extracted values may contain errors.
•.Manual verification is required before accounting or financial use.
•.LoveATree accepts no responsibility for losses resulting from incorrect extracted information.
We aim to provide high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Maintenance, software updates, network failures, or events beyond our control may temporarily interrupt the Service.
The LoveATree platform, software, logos, and documentation remain the intellectual property of LoveATree.
No ownership rights are transferred to users.
Invoice images and extracted data may be retained for operational, backup, auditing, or legal purposes.
Users may request deletion of their stored information, subject to legal or contractual obligations requiring retention.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
•.The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
•.LoveATree makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability or extraction accuracy.
•.LoveATree shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, business interruption, or data loss.
Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the customer during the preceding twelve (12) months.
You agree to indemnify and hold LoveATree harmless against claims arising from:
•.Your misuse of the Service.
•.Your uploaded content.
•.Your breach of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
•.Fees remain unpaid.
•.These Terms are breached.
•.Continued use presents a security or legal risk.
We may modify, improve, or discontinue features of the Service from time to time.
Material changes to these Terms will be communicated through the website or your registered email address.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection legislation.
